Emotional Spillovers

Watched Eclipse with Kian, his brother Lee and Suzanne. I was in the dorm the whole day trying to study Taxation but spent half of the day watching livestream of Noynoy’s inauguration, thanks to GMA 7. 

About the inauguration:

• I liked Baby James wayfarers. Fab boi.
• I admire the Aquino sisters being very supportive of their brother.
• I was looking for Shalani Soledad, I wasn’t sure if she was there. Tell me if she was.
• I got bored with all the fillers/singing. Charice, I was looking forward too but Christian? *yawn* APO? *good* Noel Cabangon? *brb livestream, off to Twitter*
• I was a skeptic that Noynoy could pull it together.
• I wondered if he would be assassinated right there. Like JFK or something.
• But then he started talking, it was in Tagalog and I liked what I heard.
• I just hope he will act what he preached.

After the inauguration, I went back to Taxation but could not focus. So I slept and ordered a Big Mac, watched House and slept again. (I told you being depressed makes me fat T_T)

But then Kian called and told me he was in town and we’re gonna watch Eclipse. I wanted Toy Story but I was a minority right then. So I scampered to the cinema with them after a meal of lasagna and I liked Eclipse more than I expected.

About Eclipse:

That’s it.

I know the story already, I get it. But the reason for my patronage of you vampoirs and werewolves and everything in between is Jacob Black. ☺

I guess I should call it a day. Not a very active one but quite fun.

All I am asking for is some comfort, assurance and affirmation. Please tell me what’s going on. I’m losing my appetite and that’s a bad thing because the effect on me will be opposite of thin.

Day 06 - Whatever tickles your fancy

I was a sophomore in college. In love, in school and in denial.

I had a boyfriend I did not love. I pursued a course I did not understand (at first). I was denying the fact that people leave, people die.

A year later here I am, better off single, still in the Accountancy program with hopefully two more years in college, and I have moved on and accepted that my beloved Lolo is in a better place now looking over us.

I don’t know if I am better now than I was this time last year but surely, I know better.

Di na sana ako nag-aaral. Because according to Chuck Bass

” Look, sis, for people like us a college degree is just an accessory. Like a Malawi baby or a poodle.”

Athena - She’s my friend and I really like her name.
Arianna - Just came out of nowhere. I think this is a name of a model I saw somewhere.

And for the fifth child, I dunno if there will be a fifth child. xD

• Advance Accounting exam one
• Finance CB
• I still have to memorize Law on Obligation and Contracts but that’s my favorite subject so I don’t mind. I like our teacher, she’s a CPA lawyer and she handles class discussion really well. I didn’t know oral recitations are that way in law school though. I thought you can use your own words, turns out you can’t. You have to memorize the whole thaaang. That’s why I don’t use highlighter on my law book because what’s there to highlight when the whole book is the highlight? Pfft.
• Financial reporting
• And the ever time consuming Philosophy 31 Business Ethics. Concepts are so overstated that a single thought that could be explained in 10 words is expressed in one page. Urrgh.

So that’s all I have to do over the weekend. I was in the library the whole day today trying to study all of them in one sitting. I did but I doubt if that was enough.

We were supposed to watch Toy Story today but Lea has a meeting with her org and our new roommates, Blanch and Olive which are both nursing sophomores are still busy looking for preggers. 

So that’s what you missed… on me.

Should I be distracted or depressed? 

My father - how to begin, where to end.

We don’t talk a lot except in one or two sentences. I get inside his car and he could drive on for hours without talking to me. I am used to it now. Actually, I am now coming to understand everything I failed to understand about him when I was younger.

• He wants coffee in the morning. Make him one and he’ll be happy.
• He hates seeing dirty dishes in the sink. If he sees the sink filled, he’ll wash all of it himself and it’s a guilty moment for everybody.
• He likes his polo shirts crisp and clean.
• He has to smell good before going to the office. Hence, the many bottles of perfume.
• He’s a Willie fan. Willie Revillame. He bought his songs and sings them. He dances to his novelty songs and… you get the picture.
• After office, he goes to the farm and tends his cows, goats, chickens. He actually dislikes us playing Farmtown/Farmville in Facebook because according to him it’s way far from real farming.
• He’s a regular churchgoer. 
• Because of him, I affirmed that really, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. After a hard day’s work, when he eats good food for dinner, he’s happy. Period.

I understand him. I know there are still a lot of things we were not able to share but I am happy he’s there. Happy Father’s day Papa.
